Garrett Hale

PRINCIPAL OBOE | PRINCIPAL LIBRARIAN | Asst. Director of Development

Garrett is a versatile oboist and English horn player who avidly performs in large ensembles, chamber groups, and as a soloist. A sought-after performer in his home state of Maine, Garrett also has performed with groups around the northeast and Maryland. He has also performed internationally with orchestras and chamber ensembles in both Canada and Singapore. He is currently a student of Jane Marvine at the Peabody Conservatory
Garrett has performed with a number of ensembles including the Peabody Concert Orchestra, Peabody Conservatory Wind Ensemble, and Maine Pro Musica. In most recent summers, he has attended the Pacific Region International Summer Music Academy and Le Domaine Forget - International Music and Dance Academy (where he was the recipient of the Excellence Award in Oboe in 2014). In addition to his musical studies, Garrett is currently pursuing a minor in Liberal Arts from Johns Hopkins University. Learn more: garretthaleoboe.com.
